But there is a sense that Team Romney is still message-testing how to deliver the anti-Gingrich message. In a bit of an unusual move, Romney has delivered the broadsides himself, while his campaign and its surrogates have stayed above-the-fray and focused on President Obama.
The standard approach is the reverse - the campaign hits while the candidate tries to refrain from personally slinging shots as long as possible."
