It turns out that all three witnesses saw merit to Senator Bernie Sanders’ desire for true Universal Healthcare decoupled from the employer. The panel included Dr. Betsy Webb , Superintendent, Bangor School Department, Bangor, ME, Mr. Andrew F. Puzder , Chief Executive Officer, CKE Restaurants, Carpinteria, CA, and Mr. Joe Fugere , Founder, Tutta Bella Pizzeria, Seattle, WA...Business opposition to single-payer has never made a lick of business sense to me. Why wouldn't you want to reduce per employee expenses, especially when any tax increase would be minimal?
