Dem Attacks Colbert

Democrat Taylor Marsh Blogs Politics, Iraq, Illegal Aliens, and Culture:

"We finally get someone standing up for Americans against President Bush, who had the cojones to call him out and the number 2 Democrat criticizes him?

Feeling sorry for President Bush because you think Colbert was 'a little rough' ignores what the man has done and how he has ducked responsibility at every turn. Colbert had him as a captive audience and didn't let down until the job was done. Perhaps Hoyer should be given a lesson in artistry, perhaps pick up Neil Young's new album. As a fellow performer, having done Broadway and many other venues, recently written a political play and performed it to small houses of both Dems and Republicans, I will tell you that the nature of genius is never shrinking in the face of the target of your creativity. Mort Sahl and then Lenny Bruce after him both drew blood when they performed. I should be so lucky as to rise to such levels. But that is the nature, the nut, the nucleus of what Stephen Colbert does. We have too few today.

In fact, if the Democratic Party had more Colberts and less Steny Hoyers to offer to the American people we might actually take back the Senate and the House this year."
