The End of Afghanistan UPDATE : NO QUARTER: "UPDATE–Having read the article, “The Runaway General,” it is clear that this is a hit piece on McChrystal and, most importantly of all, McChrystal did not, REPEAT DID NOT, trash Obama or anyone in direct conversation with the journalist. Instead, all of the unsavory quotes come second and third hand and are filtered through people on McChrystal’s staff. McChrystal’s only lapse in judgment was allowing the Rolling Stone reporter access to his staff and allowing his staff to talk to the man. Nonetheless, this ends up tarnishing McChrystal.
