as a casual observer it seems to me that pelosi has to go. shuler would probably be media friendly with his foodball experience.
Shuler is my local Congresscritter and I like him a lot, tho I have no illusions about his chances. Lotsa folks complain he's not Left enough while GOPer complain he's not Right enuf. Sounds good to me and he does do pretty well with the media.
