Well, if the shoe fits, and I tend to agree with Sununu that it does, Powell should put it on and wear it proudly. Is it possible that Powell thinks Barack actually deserves his vote because he has been a good, patriotic, competent president? If he does, that is proof that his judgement was as bad as it appeared to be when he accepted a position in the Bush Admin.
If Blacks want to vote for Obama solely because he is 1/2 black, then that's fine. They should just own it. People can vote for whom they choose, for whatever reason they choose. It's America.
But, if blacks are voting for Obama solely based on racial preference, that pretty much cancels their right to (falsely) accuse whites of not voting for him because he's 1/2 black.
There's not such thing as "reverse racism". Racism is racism.
