Don't apologize for seeing politics in this tragedy--though we would shut our eyes we would still smell burning flesh. Small government types sputter and choke, waiting for the smoke to clear. The skeletal, charred, invisible hand of the marketplace was last seen hitching a ride to the gates of hell. In this era everything is political, except the bravery of the firemen who died, their willingness to fight a terrible foe played to their last full measure. Peace to all.
