They spied on the legislative committee that (theoretically, at least) is responsible for overseeing its operation. (Tell me again that Snowden is a schmendrick because oversight works so very well.) The spying concerned a still-secret report regarding the CIA's complicity in the war crimes committed by the previous administration. if it isn't clear by now, keeping this damn report secret is not only an offense against self-government, it has become a vehicle for corruption within all the institutions of government. This seems serious. I think somebody should probably get fired behind this...
