Bernie Sanders slammed after ‘mental health’ joke about Republicans:

Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders may have just made an ill-advised and politically damaging joke during a debate with Hillary Clinton in Flint, Mich.

“You know, we are, if elected president, going to invest a lot of money into mental health. And when you watch these Republican debates, you know why we need to invest in that,” Sanders quipped during the debate.

Not surprisingly, this light-hearted comment did not sit well with mental health advocates, according to a Los Angeles Times report...

First of all, I have an intimate relationship with mental health issues and mental health professionals so I'm not talking out my blowhole. Bernie's joke was intended to cut the GOPers, which it did, and not cut anyone involved in mental health issues. This minimoment is just another example of political correctness run amok and needs to be treated as such. Meanwhile, don't vote for Sanders; vote for Clinton.
