Israel Shows Its Engineering Chops

Israel Proves the Desalination Era is Here - Scientific American:

We are standing above the new Sorek desalination plant, the largest reverse-osmosis desal facility in the world, and we are staring at Israel’s salvation. Just a few years ago, in the depths of its worst drought in at least 900 years, Israel was running out of water. Now it has a surplus. That remarkable turnaround was accomplished through national campaigns to conserve and reuse Israel’s meager water resources, but the biggest impact came from a new wave of desalination plants...

Wonderful find.

Those aweful Isralies - how dare they be so crass as to keep surviving? How dare they use technology and intelligence to keep themselves alive and thriving???

So insensitive of them - the bros and others would much rather they just die off. Then the woman-hating (oh, so sorry, not read Shariah law yet?) middle eastern countries could just take over the region.

And the bros here would rejoice.

I'm reminded of the opening pages of Exodus where Uris talks about Israel building a civilization on the rubbish heaps of Arab nations. Of course, it is hard for any culture to flourish if it denies actives membership in its affairs to over 50% of its population. Until women are allowed free rein, Islamic civilization will never return to its former glory.
