Crazy In NC: Charlotte Observer Edition

Ruh-oh.

Citing HB2, Charlotte Observer Doesn't Endorse McCrory For 1st Time In 25 Years - The New Civil Rights Movement:

The Charlotte Observer has endorsed Democrat Roy Cooper over incumbent Republican Gov. Pat McCrory in the Nov. 8 election.

It marks the first time in McCrory's 25-year political career that the state's largest newspaper has declined to endorse him...

Wait, what?? The Charlotte Observer has been endorsing Mr. Duke McCrony for the past *twenty-five* years and I missed it?

So much for their liberal. "we stand up to Duke" rep. Thank you for posting this.

I was surprised by that as well. I guess he was a better mayor than governor, but then for all the years he was mayor, he had a semi-sensible legislature to restrain his worse impulses.

Well, that explains it. Where was he mayor, if I may ask? Was it Charlotte?

Yes. Charlotte.
