9/11 Intel

Well, I've complained about this since Day Zero but Taylor Marsh reminds us quite well:

"But the one thing that makes you recoil is that everyone has been blaming the intelligence community for 9/11. It seems obvious that George Tenet and Cofer Black knew what was coming. Richard Clarke knew, too. All three men told Condoleezza Rice, and she ignored the first two, while demoting the third man below a principal. Then when the now famous PDB came in nothing happened. It didn't get Bush's attention either.

They were focused on a cold war world. Missile defense was their priority. Al Qaeda never entered their minds until it was way too late. Condi followed the leaders. The men who had only missiles on their mind. Segue to the latest scandal..."
