Iranian Guards Threaten US

Iranian Guards vow to 'punch' U.S. - CNN.com: "TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards said they would not bow to pressure and threatened to 'punch' the U.S., in their first response to Washington's plan to list them as a terrorist organization, newspapers reported Saturday. art.iran.jpg An Iranian Revolutionary Guard special forces unit takes part in military maneuvers in April 2006.

Local press in the Iranian capital of Tehran quoted Revolutionary Guards leader Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi saying that he could understand Washington's ire toward the group because of their 'leverage' against the U.S.

'America will receive a heavier punch from the guards in the future,' he was quoted as saying in the conservative daily Kayhan. 'We will never remain silent in the face of U.S. pressure and we will use our leverage against them.'

There was no elaboration on what Safavi meant by the punch or the organization's 'leverage...'"

Let me send you guys a smoke signal-- if you do anything violent, you will be playing directly into the hands of the Darth Dick Cheney and his monkey. America's grounds force are weakened; it's naval and air forces are not. Do not give these neocon crazies any excuse.

Iranian Guards vow to 'punch' U.S:
Now we have started seeing again the whole media being crazy to start another war in the Middle East--This time Iran another muslim neigher to Israel. We are watching everyday murder, dead US soldiers in Iraq. Are we doing the same mistake? Whats the US citizens doing? Can not we avoid this madness again? Iran can never be a US enemy, its just a plan to show Iran as an enemy and thats why CNN quoted the word 'punch'--seems CNN is in shortage of news these days Or thats the only purpose of CNN --start another war against another muslim country that will definitely cost innocent thousands of US citizens too even if we forget thousands Iranian civilians.

You got it, Anon. That's my worry, too. If that happens we'll end with a bunch of ill-trained airmen and sailors (where else would the troops come from?) caught up in a ground war they definitely did not sign on for.
