USATODAY.com - Kerkorian aide urges ailing GM to cut salaries:
"Ask board members to work for less than the $200,000 a year they are currently paid. The company's top five executives should take a big pay cut, too. Drastic reductions would serve as a 'very important tone setter that everyone is in this together.'"
$200k per year to meet, what, four times and suck down caviar and champagne? Gee, I wonder if health care and pensions are really GM's biggest problem? I seem to remember a former Chrysler exec working for $1 a year until he turned a profit. That might be a good plan here.
