Florida may become the pioneer state for restricting the way law enforcement uses unmanned drone aircraft.
The Florida Senate Wednesday unanimously passed SB 92, that restricts how police could use of the quiet unmanned aircraft drones for searches. The bill requires that law enforcement agencies must first obtain a warrant from a judge – unless a person's life or property is believed to be in "imminent danger" or the Department of Homeland Security has declared a terrorist threat. A drone could also be used to stop a suspect from escaping, to prevent evidence from being destroyed or to search for a missing person...
