Letterman keeps up McCain tirade - CNN.com: "NEW YORK (AP) -- David Letterman kept up his verbal assault on John McCain, commiserating with Paris Hilton and saying he felt like an 'ugly date' because the GOP presidential candidate backed out of an appearance on the 'Late Show...'"
Get over yourself, David. You are a comedian. Comedian. You are not the Prince of New York. Would you be throwing a fit if Obama had canceled? I doubt it. You'd be explaining how Obama was doing the work of the people over there with Katie and so on and so on. And with Paris Hilton... please. What's next? Bill Maher complaining to Lindsay Lohan about John McCain's driving? Or maybe his emailing?

I thought Letterman was potty trained by now - apparently not.
Celebs in general are really annoying, anyway, and, Letterman, to me, more than most.
Letterman needs to get over it., He never has been very funny. He should be glad anyone even wants to do his show at all instead of whining because a US Senator went to Washington to do his job. Big deal Senator McCain took time for a more informational news stop on his way out. Letterman over-rates himself and the importance of his show. He is an entertainer - period. John McCain could have gone on as scheduled, and probably gained some good airtime with viewers that would have helped him. I give him credt for forgoing that to do what he believed, and I believe, was more important. You had a large segament of the House who was not being heard. We had a $700 tax-payer funded bailout being shoved down our throughts like a used car by a car salesman. The democrats threw hissy fits when McCain showed up - just like a salesman trying to get you to buy RIGHT NOW, without having time to reflect on what you are doing. Now we have pause, and an alternative plan being considered. If ANY of the alternative plan gets integrated into the final draft it will be an improvement over what might have been. We will have a better final draft thanks to the moderating of Senator McCain. This is something tax payers will have to live with for a long, long time. Certainly worth missing David Letterman over.
Bob, I expect more out of you, at the least.
This was NOT a celebrity throwing a fit.
This was a man totally frustrated with the inability of his fellow Americans to see past the facade.
McCain is the ultimate comedian here, But the joke's on those of us who can see past the trees. Because even thinking Americans like yourself seem incapable of getting past the subterfuge. This isn't about Obama, Bob. It IS about discerning who is at the root of the problem and who hasn't and who WONT effect any change whatsoever in the future if elected. And that, my friend, is guys like 26 year Senators whose big claim to fame is De-Regulation.
I gave up on my blog. I am sick of trying to inform the stupid ass masses of Americans just whose dick is in their ass.
Turn around and look your abuser in the eye.
Or fucking don't. I've lost all hope in this charade.
That's rather discouraging. You can never win if you don't play. I want Democratic principles to win-- I want fair play back, I want caring for your country and your fellow man back, I want universal health care and legalized pot and sensible weapons laws. I want a Big Stick military that we don't use for stupid ego trips.
And I think you are mistaken about Letterman. He is a celebrity throwing a fit. We've seen the GOP do this sort of thing for years-- crying on the House floor, screaming liberal media every time they get caught with their penises in hand-- I recognize it when it comes from our side, too.
Bottom line: do I think the neoncons are my friends? Hell, no. But I don't see the current crop of Democrats as being much if any better.
