It seems Rice spent too much time with Saakashvili. Now she is rambling incoherently and grasping for straws. Bush made an ass of himself supporting Saakashvili, who turned out to be little more than a small-time dictator. For years the US and the rest of the NATO were spending hundreds of millions arming and training Georgian army, just to see it taken apart in less than two days by some rusty Russian tanks. To add insult to injury, Russia partitioned Georgia and the West found itself entirely without means to influence Russian foreign policy. What Putin needs right now is to make sure McCain gets elected. That should put the US out of business for at least four years.

I agree with 100% except for that last bit. Let's suppose Obama is elected. What will change? How will it change? I see Twiddledee and Twiddledum.
